I loved getting to know Katie and Jay. We started planning and thisfun-loving bride said something to me that went something like this... I just want to enjoy this day and not stress about the details! Well, what a perfect match it was for Inspire and this couple, because we were thrilled to make that happen!
Every detail of the planning was so fun. From her idea of the fan design on the invitations to the hand picked bow ties for the groomsmen, this couple did it their way! We so enjoyed creating this incredible night for them. They have a love that is true and deep and we know they are just going to have the very best, most wonderful marriage!
The day started with the Bride and her bridesmaids arriving at The Manor at Coffee Creek in North Edmond, and can I just say the sunsets at this venue are to-die-for incredible! The ladies all met and excitement was in the air! From the moment everyone got out of the cars, this day stared with smiles all around.
Everything was taken upstairs to the bridal suite where snacks, finger foods and champagne / mimosas were waiting! The ladies shared some stories and then the detail of hair and make-up commenced.
This dress was gorgeous on Katie (as you can see in the pics). I remember thinking when she did her bridals how gorgeous she would be on her wedding day and without fail, she nailed gorgeous!
Jay arrived and the groom and his groomsmen were taken to the grooms suite and there they enjoyed a game or two of pool, sports on the the television, snacks and brews.
Both the Bride and Groom finished getting ready with help from friends and family, which made this moment all the more full of memories. Just seeing both these kidsand their friends and family that were surrounding them on this very special day was moving. Katie and Jay were surrounded by those that loved them deeply. Caring for them, together as two individuals joining as one, sharing that love to surround this couple in their future, in their marriage and in their life that they were about to start.
Katie and Jay opted to have a first look and we sure are glad they did! Look at her face as she is sneaking behind Jay. This girl LOVES this man and you can see it on her face!!! We loved this shot especially, taken by the wonderful photographers, Atria Creative, who captured this amazing event. (see photos below)
The Wedding & Reception
Katie's Dad came upstairs to see his little girl. I know all Daddy's love their daughters but that moment when a Dad sees his little girl in her wedding dress... I mean seriously, there's rarely a dry eye in the room. Katie and her sweet Daddy met in the upstairs bridal suite and there they shared an embrace and it was time to start.
The family was seated and the darling little flower girls made their way down the aisle, before Katie and her father entered. Can't you just eat them up they are so cute!? And that wagon,... SERIOUSLY adorable overload!
Katie and her father made their way down the stairs and to the door from the venue building to the aisle. The outdoor prop of the doorway at The Manor created that moment of grand entrance for Katie and her guests. It was such a lovely addition to the ceremony. Making their way to Jay as he waited at the end of the aisle, every looked enamored with Katie and how lovely she was.
The ceremony was lovely. Short and Sweet! They did the formalities, said I Do and sealed it with a kiss... and then it was time to party!!! (However, I couldn't let this get by with out mentioning the arbor and how pretty it was! LOVE the chandelier.
The couple decided to have a private dinner while their guests were dining. The Manor has this lovely space, just perfect for that! Dinner was stellar, because what do you expect from Abbey Road Catering. They are always on point and always bring the very best to everything they do! From the garnish to the display and the taste of it all, they are always aware that we generally eat first with our eyes! And, I am witness to say, the food was amazing!
Once the dinner hour had passed it was outside to dance the night away! What a breathtaking view the guests had when they retreated outside for the reception. We worked with IES to bring more lighting to the outdoor area. All the tables were lit up from underneath once the sun went down. What a surprise for their crowd to have such a unique outdoor space to enjoy the rest of the evening.
From the individual champagne favors, to the dancing through the night. The evening was full of love, full of family, full of friends and full of fun! We had a great time celebrating with this couple. We are thrilled to have been able to have been a part of this day! Cheers to the new Mr. and Mrs. Harper! We wish you the very best of happiness in your future!!!
