The Eve of Easter

I Love the story Little Women.

I recall my mother reading it to me as a child. We read it over and over and over... So much that my sister and I have adopted the pet name "Marmie" on occasion for her.  Tonight, as I "wait on the Easter Bunny" to do her magic, I am sitting watching the movie on the television. I love the way they talk. The words that are used, so articulate. The emotion behind them, with all of the proper etiquette in place. I love this movie. The love of the family, the love for one another... It's one of my favorites.

We are excited in the home for Easter. Our children are snuggled in their beds, the Dinner table is set with the floral arrangements, place settings and lovely little treats at each seat for our guests. It's a time of family and friend at our home. A time when we all get together, bring out the big dining table and enjoy the company of one another.

For me, this week is one that is dear to my heart. As I have grown to be a mother, my heart is heavy with emotion this week. As we attend our services throughout the week at Church, it's the Good Friday service that always gets me. Hearing the choir, feeling the music in my bones, listening as we hear the story of the Cross and the Son... it's something that is so moving.

My children will enjoy the goodies from the Easter Bunny, and will also have one more egg hunt tomorrow, but when we get to the heart of the day, the week, the season... it is evident that the reason we are all celebrating is because of the love of the Lord. We have been Blessed beyond belief. That's a word that seems to be tossed about often, so I rarely use it. But, this day, this moment, this time of year... for me, there is no other way to describe it. We are Blessed to be loved by the Lord so much and it is our hope, the hope of our family that we are able to share those Blessings with others.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

Happy Easter from our Family to yours!
