One of our most favorite times of the planning process is when we get to meet the Bride and Groom to be...together...in their element...all happy and in love!
I had the pleasure of spending the entire day with one of our couples and this is what I discovered. The excitement of a couple planning together, even though the day may be long is something that is so fun to see shared. His take, her take... It never gets old.
The day started by picking up the couple, as this was to be an entire day of downtown fun and you all know that with more than one car, trying to arrive at one place is never easy. Arriving at their home, I prefaced the drive with the fact that my husband and I disagree on who is the better driver but that I hope they are comfortable. Do a music check, A/C check and we are off!
I love this part. Listening to the giggles, the sharing of the entire story on how this Wyoming Beauty and this Southern Gentleman met and hearing about that moment when they knew it the other WAS THE ONE! Life is funny that way, you know? Call me a hopeless romantic but seriously? These two were completely meant to be together.
We continue to head south on 235 towards Downtown OKC and as each moment passes the small, tiniest of moments, that may seem completely irrelevant are the ones that stand out in my mind. That moment when he talks about how once she sets her mind on something she goes for it. How she shares his interest in the home they are building and her admiration to him because of his detailed interest. The way that he is excited to be with her on this journey to find that perfect place. That place that she loves and in turn, he loves all on his own. He love it yes, but he loves it deeply because she loves it. The place they'll say "I Do."
We take our tours at the venues, because after all it only happens once. He and she, discovering each and every location, together. Walking through, enjoying one another and enjoying this very moment. I LOVE that they are in this moment TOGETHER. It is one of life's greatest moments to peek in that window and see a couple together, in love, when they don't even know how much they shine in it all.
Breaking up the day with lunch, he and she and I.... We sit and enjoy the meal, when he shares that it is because of her, that he does what he does. He does what he does because he wants only her ever-most happiness. After all, he knows her to the very depth of her core. AND, though he states this all in jest and fun, I can see between the lines and read the entirety of the page and know that because he LOVES her and she LOVES him, it's these moments that it's all about. Making these moments for a lifetime...It's love, ya'll! This gorgeous woman and this man... It's LOVE!
This couple inspires us to encourage lovers to love! Love is Beautiful.
"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. it does not insist on it's own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things......
So, now faith, hope and love abide these three; but the greatest of these is love." 1Corinthians 13: 4-7, 13
Love is Beautiful. This couple is beautiful! We are so delighted to share in planning and designing this very special day for this very special couple!
